Cultural Diversity
Halifax is said to be home to a vibrant arts and culture community. They welcome many different types of performing arts (dance, theater, and music), as well as visual arts, films, and museums.
Halifax is is not as multicutural as other parts of Canada, but it is getting there as they attract more immigrants. Muslims are the second largest minority in Halifax, where the historic African Nova Scotian community is the largest. Greek is a newer community that Halifax has welcomed. The city has many post-secondary students, including national and international students (Wikipedia, 2016).

Urban Land Use
Halifax mainly has a clustered settlement, as it is one big city, with houses and buildings all grouped together.
Environmental Issues
A pipeline called "Energy East" is being proposed to be built from Alberta to New Brunswick. But since Nova Scotia is right next to New Brunswick, and the size of the pipeline, it could cause Halifax environmental issues if the pipeline spills (The Coast, 2016).
